Volunteer with Involve
Volunteering is a great way to support your local community and the work of Involve. As a charity we rely on volunteers to support our social groups and activities, run our community transport project, and change the lives of people who are lonely or frail.
Volunteering is also a great way to meet new people, connect to your community, develop your skills and feel a sense of achievement.

Why Volunteer?
Involve Kent was initially founded as Maidstone Volunteer Bureau in 1975, to recruit and support volunteers in the community. Almost 50 years on and volunteering still remains at the heart of what we do in our mission to help people live happier, healthier lives.
Volunteers will always be an integral part of our service and without them, we wouldn’t be able to meet as many people in need.
Here to support you
Our friendly team will guide you through the volunteering process from the moment you enquire, and continue to offer support throughout your role. From answering any questions you may have, to matching you with a role to suit your interests and availability.
We run training days throughout the year, giving our volunteers opportunity to upskill if they wish to, and out monthly volunteer newsletter lets you know what’s happening at Involve and informs you of any upcoming volunteer events.

Make a difference
You will be working directly with people in your community, making a difference to people who may be feeling isolated, lonely or frail, as well as helping us to continue providing these vital services.
Your time will be recognised and appreciated not only by our clients, but us too. In fact, we often hold volunteer social events as a thank you to our wonderful volunteers, which has previously included lunches, bowling days and Christmas parties.
Flexible volunteer roles
We understand that life can be busy and unexpected, which is why we offer minimum-commitment volunteer roles. Most of our roles ask for as little as an hour or two of your time each week. You can volunteer as much or as little as you like, there will never be any pressure put on you to volunteer more than what suits you.
And, if you decide that a particular role is not for you- that’s okay! Our Volunteer Coordinator will work with you to find a role that is meaningful and worthwhile for you.
