What we do

At Groundwork, we are working to help refugees and non-EU migrants settle into Kent communities through a holistic programme called ‘Together South’. We provide 121 sessions every week online, completely tailored to the needs of the individual. This is a chance not only to improve and practice their English in an informal environment, but more to assist them with things such as employment (CV writing, interview skills, finding an appropriate job), mental health concerns, housing, and childcare and more. The sessions can cover anything that the individual requires. We also run Group Sessions every week online, where our participants converse with one another in a fun space, play games as well as share experiences and cultures, and UK Cultural Insights Sessions once a week online, that provide a useful perspective of British culture. Whether the session is about British food, places to visit, music, art or sport, our participants always have fun and find the insight to be interesting and valuable. Our services are aimed at refugees and Non-EU migrants living in Kent, aged 18+ with the right to live and work in the UK. We are happy to bring participants into our programme at any point throughout the year and I very much look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
