Maidstone Day Centre and Food Bank

Maidstone Day Centre provides for those over 18 who are living on the street and homeless locally. Some of the support we offer includes the use of the Day Centre as a postal address and telephone contact point, hot showers with toiletries and towels provided, a laundry service, clothing and shoes, sleeping bags and blankets, good home cooked meals, tea, coffee and cold drinks, a comfortable lounge with television, newspaper, books, computer use, a safe place to relax for a while, regular nurse clinics and Mental Health support . At the end of the session, we provide a pack of sandwiches, fruit and a drink. Once the practical needs have been met, our staff can help with claiming benefits and dealing with problems such as health issues, obtaining identity documents and finding accommodation.
