What we do
Grow a Healthy Swanley’ initiative incorporates community led crop growing projects in the local area. Harnessing an interest in healthy lifestyles and enabling the principles to create a healthier community.
The project is currently being delivered in Crockenhill and we have plans to include Swanley.
Crockenhill Parish Council has allocated 2 allotment plots for the project and these have been handed over and signed for.
The beneficiaries of the project are both the local people who are tending and growing the fruit and vegetables on the allotments and eventually the recipients of the produce grown.
The project offers those members of the community who may feel isolated by having difficulties socialising to engage with others.
The group meets at Harvestfield Allotments on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am until 2pm.
