Volunteer with Involve
Make a difference in a way that fits your life.
At Involve, we believe everyone has something to offer – whether you can volunteer a few hours a week or just a few minutes a month. Our volunteering opportunities are a great way to meet new people, connect to your community, develop your skills and feel a sense of achievement.
Here to Support You
Guidance from the start: Our friendly team supports you from your first enquiry through your entire volunteer journey.
Tailored roles: We match you with opportunities that fit your interests and availability.
Training opportunities: Regular training days throughout the year to help you develop new skills.
Ongoing support: We’re always here to answer questions and ensure you feel confident in your role.
Volunteer socials: We love to say thank you! Enjoy lunches, events, and Christmas parties with fellow volunteers.

Choose from two main ways of getting involved:
1. Ongoing volunteering roles: Regular roles with an ongoing commitment that fit around you – like becoming a Community Transport Driver.
2. Micro-volunteering: Short, one-off tasks or mini-projects that fit around busy lifestyles. Perfect if you want to make a difference but only have limited free time.
Volunteering Roles
Our ongoing roles are perfect if you’d like to build deeper connections with the people we support and have time to volunteer on a regular basis. These roles often include training.
If you’re looking for a on-going commitment but none of these roles feel quite right, please contact us – we often have additional opportunities in other programmes.
Micro-Volunteering Opportunities
Micro-volunteering is ideal if you want to make a big impact in short bursts of time. These activities often take under 2 hours (sometimes even just a few minutes) and can be done remotely or spontaneously.
Examples of Micro-Volunteering at Involve:
1. Digital Champion
- What you’ll do: Share our social media posts, comment on social campaigns, or create your own social media fundraiser.
- Time commitment: 10-15 minutes whenever you’re online – spreading awareness can be powerful!
2. Help with a One-Off Task
- What you’ll do: Distribute flyers in your neighbourhood, stuff envelopes for mailing, or help prep materials for an event.
- Time commitment: Typically 1-2 hours as needed, especially during busy periods!
3. ‘Sponsor a Meal’ Outreach
- What you’ll do: Invite friends or colleagues to sponsor a festive meal for an older adult (just £50 covers food, entertainment, and small gifts for 5 older people).
- Time commitment: 30 minutes to an hour to email or post about the opportunity and handle follow-ups.
4. DIY Fundraising
- What you’ll do: Host a micro-fundraiser at your home or workplace such as, a small bake sale, a ‘dress down day’, or a ’50 for 50′ mini challenge.
- Time commitment: Whatever you can spare. You can raise funds in a single afternoon.
5. Virtual Support Projects
- What you’ll do: Provide quick pro bono advice on areas like marketing, design, or IT, or help us test a new website feature.
- Time commitment: Anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours, depending on the task.
We periodically update our list of micro-volunteering tasks. Keep an eye on our website to stay informed.
Why Micro-Volunteering?
Flexibility
Do it anytime, from anywhere – at home, during a lunch break, or even while waiting for the kettle to boil!
Immediate impact
Small tasks quickly add up, helping us raise awareness, reduce administrative backlogs, and reach more people.
No long-term commitment
Perfect if you can’t volunteer regularly or prefer sporadic involvement.
Ready to Volunteer?
We want volunteering at Involve to fit your life. Here’s how to get started:
1. Fill out our Volunteer Interest Form – Let us know if you’re interested in ongoing or micro-volunteering roles (or both).
2. We’ll be in touch – Our Volunteer Coordinator will follow up with specific tasks or roles that suit your preferences.
3. Complete a brief induction – Depending on the role, you may need a quick training session, especially if you’ll be working directly with vulnerable people.

Thank You for Your Support
Your time – whether it’s one hour a week or one hour a month – can help us continue to transform lives. Together, we can make Kent a healthier, happier place for everyone.
