As we get older, we may need additional support to live well. Our service for over 55’s can help you to:
- Find information and advice that is accurate and easy to understand
- Know what is available for you to access in your community
- Access social activities that you will enjoy, make friends, and have fun
- Be supported to know your rights in relation to your care and support
- Be supported to live safely and independently
- Feel less lonely and isolated
We can help you with…
We can help you to build your social network by facilitating a range of social activities including, lunch clubs, coffee morning, exercise classes, day trips, hobby groups, art and heritage groups, creative activities, and much more!
We can help you access the health and social care system and work with other organisations to make referrals for you. We can also help identify other services and opportunities within the local community that may help you.
We can support you to remain independent at home by assessing and identifying any needs you have and arrange for adaptations, equipment and assistive technology to be installed as appropriate.
We can help you access advice, including what benefits you may be entitled to, and assist you in accessing services and community activities, making referrals on your behalf if needed, and filling out forms.
