Hospice Hub: Motor Neurone Disease Support Group

Address

Magnolia Place, Heart of Kent Hospice, Preston Hall, Aylesford, Maidstone, Kent, ME20 7PU

What we do

Co-delivered by Heart of Kent Hospice and Motor Neurone Disease Association.

A social support group held twice a month (1st & 3rd Fridays of the month, 10:00am-2:00pm) for individuals living with MND where complimentary therapy, advice and support from both Hospice colleagues and members of the Motor Neurone Disease Association is available. The group is led by our Occupational Therapist and a referral to access the group is required before attending.

Magnolia Place is a light, airy and cheerful space, where every week our Hospice colleagues and volunteers will offer a range of services, many of which operate on a flexible drop-in basis. Patients and carers can socialise, speak to members of our Drop-in Team, and attend optional supportive sessions.

Members of our Drop-in Team include:

  • Our dedicated Hub Co-ordinator

  • Dementia Specialist Nurse
  • Healthcare Assistant
