What we do
When someone you love has dementia, it can often feel as if you’re losing them while they’re still with you. The dementia carers group is a support group for carers of people with dementia who are under the care of the Hospice. It is led by our specialist palliative care Social Worker who will help the group members to express and explore their thoughts and feelings, and help them find ways to cope with their sense of loss, and with the challenges of the disease.
Magnolia Place is a light, airy and cheerful space, where every week our Hospice colleagues and volunteers will offer a range of services, many of which operate on a flexible drop-in basis. Patients and carers can socialise, speak to members of our Drop-in Team, and attend optional supportive sessions.
