What we do
Parenting service, focused on deaf families. Deaf families can mean deaf parents of hearing children or hearing parents with deaf children. We set up this specialist service to create better parenting through access to information, advice and support. We cover London, Kent, and the South East England area. We have Parenting Mentors who are either Deaf and/or sign language users, that are trained in parenting, with significant experience of frontline Children and Family work. They can provide direct support to meet a Deaf family’s educational and cultural needs. Referrals are usually made by the Local Authority.
